Halishte is an unique hand-made woolen carpet (rug) which is made from wool of live sheep. Individual hairs are woven into the fabric, precisely why this special product has better thermal insulating properties than sheep skins. Halishte has a long tradition in the Balkan Mts. and in the past was considered as a symbol of wealth. It takes long time to manufacture this product.
